So when we shut it off, do others see our subscriber count- just not us??

If it’s the same thing I’m thinking of, others can still see sub count on your profile, you just can’t see it when you go into stats (unless you choose to by pressing a button to see it)

You can hide your sub count on your profile too, though. I think you do that through your user profile settings

What a RELIEF! I could not turn it off fast enough. I turned it off before I even finished reading this post! Came back to finish and say thank you!

Thank you for letting us know there is now an option for this. I hate that it is the first thing I see when I go to the dashboard. I might never look at it again and my nervous system already feels better. I'm not here for the stats, I'm here to write. That subscriber number makes me feel like I'm supposed to care more than I do. Thank you Amanda for this tip!

I’m going to leave mine off and leave the data-ing to experts like you. Given I have no idea what the stats/data show, (yet they consistently managed to make me feel simultaneously anxious and shitty,) I’ll wait until I’m ready and then hire you to tell me! And only when my fragile sense of self worth can handle it! 😂
