Come explore how to be consistent without feeling pushy

New to my work? Everything I publish is an extension of real-life writing and publishing relationships that I nurture offline — as a publishing strategist and writing coach. The best way for me to help is through a week of async Voxer support. Learn more about publishing support weeks here.

In this session, we explored one of the most common challenges among independent publishers:

How do I stay consistent in publishing — without becoming annoying, inauthentic or overbearing?

The Core Concept: Consistency without Pushiness

We unpacked this tension by exploring two key elements of a publisher’s mindset:

1. You’re in charge of the quality, frequency and tone of what you publish.

  • As the publisher, you decide when a piece is truly ready to go out.

  • Know when to hold a story. Don’t hit publish just because it’s Thursday.

  • You can pivot, delay, or change tone — as long as you stay trustworthy and consistent in intention.
